Photo Competition

16-26 years

COMPETITION FOR: amateur photographers
DURATION: 2 months
REGISTRATION: individual
ACTIVE: since 2017

Each of us has a different perspective on the world around us. The most mundane everyday element can represent a source of inspiration and can have a special symbolism. How does this world look through your own subjective lens and what does it tell you? Since 2017 we have been looking for stories of architecture and the built environment, told through photography. What does your universe look like? What kind of details does it consist of?

On International Photography Day, August 19, De-a Arhitectura invites you to send us a moment captured in time, a memory of joy, an image that tells a story that can inspire entire communities, from the smallest to the largest , fleeting moments captured to celebrate and bring closer people from everywhere and to make us stop from the crazy rush of everyday.

We invite you to take part in the De a arhitectura competition on Photography Day and tell us your story.

In our daily rush, we rarely look up in the street to see what is happening above us – falling plaster, water dripping from a balcony, a threatening icicle detaching, a pigeon flying by. But it’s worth raising our heads and looking up, not just to avoid dangers, what might harm us, but also to change our point of view/observation.

How many times have you looked up and been surprised by a gargoyle diligently guarding its roof, a stork’s nest heralding spring, or perhaps a corner of a building or a balcony seen from a different perspective?

Look up and offer us a different point of view! On International Photography Day, August 19, 2023, we return to the De-a arhitectura photo contest and invite you to creatively document what you see when you look up.

We can’t wait to see what up looks like for you!
