The De-a arhitectura TALKS is the international conferences De-a arhitectura Meetings. A project with adults, but about kids. Because we are already quite a lot of those concerned, increasingly serious, of children’s architecture education. Because we went out into the world and saw that we resonate with a sum of beautiful initiatives. So we thought we would use a respite that would allow us to look better at what is happening. Let’s discover, seriously, what others do, let us introduce what we do and question ourselves. And we can find some answers.
De-a arhitectura TALKS is the face-to-face meeting point of a network of people interested in architecture and built environment education for children.
The 2017 Edition of the De-a arhitectura TALKS event, the third of a series we want to be very long, has brought together architects, urban planners, academics, researchers and representatives of companies who are interested in built environment education.
The guests introduced themes that develop the idea we are promoting in this edition: the motivation to invest resources, passion and energy in built environment education.
In addition to presenting research or direct involvement projects, the context in which the five guests work was explained: the general framework for education, as well as the promotion of the quality of the built environment and active citizenship in relation to the living space.
Those who made presentations have very different professional paths and offered not only a perspective on the subject, but also illustrated the different ways of working in this field: in research laboratories, in the classical public or private education system, in private architecture schools, associative environment, etc.

The second edition of De-a arhitectura TALKS Conference took place on November 7, 2015, in the Amphitheater hall of the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest, and enjoyed the presence of specialists interested in architecture and built environment education for children from 4 continents, members of the Working Group Architecture and Children of the International Union of Architects.. In front of the approximately 60 participants the following made their presentation: Ewa Struzynska, Suzanne de Laval, Barbara Feller, Heba Safey Eldeen, Magdalina Polinova Rajeva, Elchin Aliyev, Cristina Llorente-Roca, Tezcan Karakus Candan, Mia Roth-Cerina, Corina Drocaş, Ioana Ciurea, Hannes Hubrich, Raluca Iacob Pop, Carolina Pizzaro. The first edition of De-a arhitectura TALKS Conference started on November 15, 2014, with presentations and discussions hosted by “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest, followed by half a day of workshops at Concrete House. The first day’s speakers were: Adina Marin and Ion Niculae, Andras Czech, Mina Sava, Victoria Thorton, Barbara Feller, Vera Marin, Eliza Yokina.
